Supreme Court ordered the government to introduce Animal Law in Nepal

Supreme Court ordered the government to introduce Animal Law in Nepal:

The Supreme Court has issued the mandate today to make immediate implementation of “Live Animal Transportation, Standards, 2007” and also ordered to introduce the “Animal Law in Nepal” for the welfare of the Farm animals who are consumed for meat and any other type of animals.

The Legal Advisor of Sneha’s Care, Advocate Padam Bahadur Shrestha and Advocate Shatkon Shrestha, filed the writ petition at supreme court demanding the implementation of “Live Animal Transportation, 2007” and also demanding the Animal Law in Nepal to ensure the welfare of animals.

Sneha’s Care has been working continuously for a few years in order to ban the inhumane and unorganized live animal transportation in Nepal. We are optimistic that the order of Honorable Court will be promptly implemented and ensure that the welfare of animals is ensured.

We would like to thank Advocate Padam Bahadur Shrestha & Advocate Shatkon Shrestha for helping in this campaign, as well as the various Communication media specially Rabi Lamichhane, Deepak Bohara, Yuvraj Kandel from News24 Nepal & G Nitu My-Lekha from Annapurna Post for covering the news and exposing the truth. Not to forgot Laxmi Prasad Ngakhusi, Deepak Bajracharya, Lok Chandra Thapa, Sanjeeb Yonjan & Ragjung Yeshe Shenpen for videos and photography and all your help during the documentary.
